Kurt Rifbjerg, Esq.
Kurt is a California attorney with over seven years of experience in the probate field. His practice areas include probate, trusts, and conservatorships. Kurt has experience with estate and trust administration as well as litigation which arises in those contexts. Kurt’s background in trust and probate litigation give him a unique perspective when working closely with clients to develop estate plans and navigating complex litigation and contested probate matters.
Kurt served on the Court Appointed Conservatorship Panel in San Diego three years, in which he represented proposed conservatees, limited conservatees, and other individuals whose alleged incapacity required the assistance of an independent attorney. Kurt has represented professional fiduciaries in complex probate matters. Kurt has also presented on probate, estate planning, real estate, and trust administration topics to realtors, financial advisors, and attorneys.
Kurt’s background includes experience in bankruptcy law, which allows him to assist clients with bankruptcy issues within estate and trust matters. Kurt is admitted to practice in the United States Bankruptcy Courts of Northern, Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California.
Kurt is also a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association, East Bay Trust and Estate Lawyers, San Diego County Bar Association, and Probate Attorneys of San Diego.
Kurt is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego and California Western School of Law. He practiced for several years in San Diego County prior to returning to Northern California to be closer to his family.
